MAFC - HUNGARY

MAFC is the association of the Budapest University of Technology, and the oldest sports association in Hungary.
The 45+ and 55+ senior teams belong to the handball department, where a total of 10 teams work, from 12 years old to senior.
Our senior team mainly competes in senior tournaments, but we also play among younger players in the Budapest championship. The department has about 120 players, of which 25 are seniors.
Many of us have known each other since childhood, because many of us played together or against each other 50 years ago.

ODESA - UKRAINE

The handball masters (veteran athletes) movement in Ukraine has a rich history and remarkable achievements. Today, its most prominent representative is the Handball Masters Team "Odesa", whose motto is: Game not over!
The team consists of athletes aged 55+, most of whom were former players of the professional handball team SKA-Odesa. Today, they represent various professions—teachers, scientists, law enforcement officers, managers, and dockworkers-mechanics.
The founder and active player of the team is Serhiy Hrynevetskyi, Head of the Odesa Regional Handball Federation and an Honorary Citizen of Odesa and the Odesa Region.
During Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the team and its players actively engaged in volunteer activities to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Despite their prestigious status and age, the players remain constantly active, maintaining their training process and achieving new sporting results.
For the past 10 years, theteam has been a regular finalist in the European Handball Masters Championships:

👉 2016 - European Handball Masters Championship (Poreč, Croatia) - Gold
👉 2017 - European Handball Masters Championship (Porto, Portugal) - Gold
👉 2018 - European Handball Masters Championship (Innsbruck, Austria) - Gold
👉 2019 - Fourth European Masters Games (Turin, Italy) - Gold
👉 2022 - European Handball Masters Championship (Granollers, Spain) - Gold
👉 2023 - European Handball Masters Championship (Tampere, Finland) - Bronze
👉 2024 - European Handball Masters Championship (Paredes, Portugal) - Gold

The team's goalkeepers, Adil Ozenbishli and Oleh Perekrestov, have repeatedly been recognized as the best goalkeepers in European championships.

SILESIA - POLAND

The team was created 30 years ago in Silesia, Poland with sole purpose to play in National championship aswell as playing in European Masters which we participate in since the begginings in Wien.

OLDI SZCZECIN - POLAND

Oldi Szczecin Poland we have been playing in the masters for 35 years.
We have been playing in the ME Masters for the 19th time.
In the 45, 50 and now 55 age category.
The current average age in our team is 62 years.
Handball is our passion.

TARRASA - SPAIN

It began its journey in 1995 with meetings and friendly matches organized by former club players. In 2005, the club's veterans legally established themselves as an independent entity and moved to the neighboring town of Matadepera, where the Matadepera Veterans Handball Club was founded, comprised solely of one handball team, the masters team.
Handbol Veterans Matadepera quickly established itself as one of the pioneering clubs in the Catalan Masters League of the Catalan Handball Federation (FCH). Throughout its history, the club was crowned champion of the Catalan Masters League twice: in the 2013-14 and 2015-16 seasons, and also finished runner-up in the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons. He also won the Catalan Masters Cup in the 2007-08 season.
At the international level, Handbol Veterans Matadepera participated in more than 10 editions of the European Masters Handball Championship organized by the EHF (European Masters Handball Championship).
The club also participated in several national and international friendly tournaments, one of the most important being the Ciudad de Sevilla International Tournament, where it always competed in the +35 category.
Throughout its recent history, Handbol Veterans Matadepera was primarily comprised of former Handbol Terrassa players, which fostered a relationship of friendship and collaboration between the two entities.
This relationship led, in 2021, to a unanimous agreement for all Handbol Veterans Matadepera members to join Club Handbol Terrassa.
Thus, starting in the 2021-2022 season, the veteran team began its journey as Handbol Terrassa Veterans and began competing in the Catalan Masters League of the Catalan Handball Federation and other competitions, marking the beginning of a new era for veteran handball in the city.

BUDAPEST OLD BOYS - HUNGARY

The team was founded under the name Budapest Old Boys in 2003, when the European Handball Federation organized the 1st Masters Handball European Championship in Vienna.
Based on the successful experiences, the EHF decided to organize the Masters European Championships every two years, and then from 2005, is organized yearly.
With several well-known former national team players in the team, we participated in all the European Championships with great success. At the European Championships, in several age groups, we won a total of 15 pcs gold, 8 pcs silver and 4 pcs bronze medals.

VIIMSI - ESTONIA

HC Viimsi Seniors - Passion for Handball That Knows No Age
The HC Viimsi senior team is a great example of how sporting passion and team spirit do not diminish with age. Experience, dedication, and unity have led them time and again to the podium at the European Masters Handball Championships.
Their consistent participation and success in international tournaments not only bring honor to Viimsi, but also proudly represent Estonia. Whether competing in the 35+ or 55+ age group, HC Viimsi seniors prove that true sportsmanship lasts a lifetime.
